Staff are great. You can't really go in and sit down to hang out, but it's set up well to avoid congestion while in line. Love everything I've ordered from here - especially the hamburger buns!
So we ordered two pies and a dozen brownies for last Saturday,Then I called a day later and asked.if I could pick up Friday and add a pie and more brownies.The young lady that answered the phone did a great job arranging for earlier pickup.The Pies were out of this world good one was coconut cream and a apple and a blueberry pie was amazing .Now for the brownies they were the best I had ever.Everything is very good there also they have a great selection of bread too.I can hardly wait to go back.Thanks Again I would show you pictures but they are all gone.
This is a treasure of a bakery! We stop just for the maple fried cinnamon rolls but the sprinkle donuts, frosted sugar cookies and cinnamon pull apart bread is also popular with our family! Definitely worth a stop if you are looking for a old fashioned bakery with delicious treats!
So this was my third time there in 6 month I didn't see the display of breads before.So I tried the garlic and chesse bread it was the best bread I ever tasted one problem thou I only bought one and I live 100 miles away.Alsi had the chocolate cake donuts it was amazingly good too. STAFF WAS SUPER HELPFUL AS ALWAYS.
It's an awesome home style bakery! An absolute treasure to find in a small Northwoods town where most have disappeared! The minute you walk through the doors you are hit with all the delicious smells of freshly made bake goods. They definitely don't disappoint.. but you need to get there early as most things sell out quickly! They also take orders for next business day if you want to insure you get the bakery items you're after. If you find yourself in Spooner, WI or close by.. definitely stop in to the Bake Shoppe for a delicious treat!
I moved away from the area, haven't found a bake shop anywhere that compares to the spooner bake Shoppe! In town grabbing some yummy Bismarck's and a cake for my hubby.. because he's obsessed with their frosting!
Five stars every time. Great food, nice people, good prices. Try the cinnamon-raisin bread and the date cookies. :)
A delight. I had the creamed horn, which is some kinda puff pastry stuffed with...you guessed it...Cream. Thick buttery sweet cream. Cream like ice cream, cream. Then Em got a dozen cookies, and J a donut. All for about 6 bucks total. And the cookies? Damn. Go for the ginger cookie and the peanut butter cookie and you will think about the next time you another cookie that it just wasn't as good as when you were in Spooner. Seriously. Like Grammy good. (if your grammy was a wicked baker, that is) There was a sign posted not to post any signs, and that was pretty funny.
